Samuel was born in 1855 to parents Samuel Herbert Sims and Mary Ann Wright. I cannot locate birth record at this stage.
Samuel was a carpenter and owned a workshop in Sims Street, which was named after him. The Street still exists but unsure if the building still survives.
Samuel married Elizabeth Herbert in 1878 Rites of Weslynn Church, Oxford Street, Sydney, New South Wales [1] They had 11 children - Oliver, Albert, Herbert, Arthur, Millicent, Lil, Hilda, May, Elsie and two who died young, Amy and Cecil.
Samuel passed away in 1935 at Darlinghurst, late of Moore Park, New South Wales [2]
He is interred at Rookwood Cemetery Old Wesleyan, Portion 2C Row T8, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
