Abner was born about 1766 to Thomas Sims and Mary Nalle. He was named in the will of his father written 21 October 1809.[1] Abner Sims married Mary Sanders 22 Jan 1789, Wm Mason Baptist minister officiating.[2] They lived in that part of Culpeper County, Virginia, which became Rappahannock in 1833. His will was proved in court on 12 June 1854.[3]
