his death notice was in the Carondelet News on December 13th, 1912 - It read "Nicholas A. Singer, 59 years old, a well-known resident of Carondelet, died at 9 am Monday at the family residence, 77.14 Minnesota Avenue - See picture of this house on the left - Nicholas Singer funeral was held Wednesday morning, services being conducted at St. goniface Church, after which the body was interred in the Mount Olive Cemetery. Mr. Singer leaves a widow, Mrs. Anna Singer, nee Stauder, and his eight children.
