Garrett was born about 1653, either in Wales or Virginia.
Garrett Sipple was in Accomac County, Virginia prior to 1674. He is said to have been a handsome young rogue and it is recorded in Virginia that he eloped with Mary Calvert, [16 JAN 1672/3][1] daughter and heiress of Christopher Calvert. Mrs. Florence Parker brought action against Garrett Sipple in Accomac County Court Jan 26, 1674 for "having clandestinely married Mary Calvert, her ward and apprentice."[2] Other accounts say that Mary Calvery was a servant indentured to the Calverts. Mary passed about 1698.[2]
Garrett married (2) Sarah Rowland.[2] Their intent to marry is found in the Quaker meeting minutes for 12th of 2nd month [April] 1799.[3]
He came to Kent County, Delaware prior to 1698 as Garrett S. Sipple, Attorney at Law and purchase the land "Towsends Folly/Limerick" from John Townsend and his wife Sarah by deed May 28, 1698.[2]
He passed away 14 January 1722/23 in Kent County, Delawae.

My 7th GG Christopher Calvert was born between 1611 and 1615 in Northamptonshire, England and died in Accomack Co, VA in 1682. He was transferred to Accomack in 1636. Garrett was transported to Accomack ca. 1670 and married Christopher's daughter Mary ca. 1673. Ellen Ward, who is a descendant of Garrett and Mary Calvert Sipple, match my cousin Pete Colbert and myself on GEDmatch.
