Biography

This profile was made for Margaret born in 1797 and passed away about 1845. The WikiTree relationships for this profile are best supported by a 1999 query with question mark. "Was Wm Carr's wife Skiles?" The Wm Carr siblings (save the not-found John Carr), seem to check out. Before these Carr folks were in Fannin Co. Texas, they (and relatives) were in Schuyler Co. Illinois, where the Skiles family was prominent.

A Geni.com profile provides the birth date and death year for Margaret. A Schuyler Co. profile (presented on profile for Margaret's father, William) gives the series of family locations.

An 1823 Methodist Church membership listing appears in a Schuyler Co. Illinois history. There is listed a Margaret Carr. In the list are family names now familiar as Carr relatives. There is even a William Carr (not consecutive with Margaret) in the list. William Carr is identified in 1850 and 1860 census without a wife. If William Carr could be found in 1840, we should see what family fits the profile for children as well as spouse. William Carr's wife cannot have died in 1811 Lee Co. Iowa as well as appear in the 1823 church membership list. The geographical trace of Margaret's father should be helpful in locating the William Carr 1840 census.
