They were passed on to me by Marion Jennings, who saw this Bible years before I met her, and who in 1987 tried to help me track down the Bible. Unfortunately, we failed to find the current owner.].

"We Came from Turkeyfoot," by Marian Jennings: Juanita Jeffers, a daughter of Dana (Jennings) Stephens knew Jesse’s daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Jennings and copied, but did not have certified, all the information in the Jennings and Skinner Bibles, thus giving the link between the two families. The Skinners were as follows: Richard Skinner b. 6 Dec 1775 d. 18 June 1857 buried Monroe Co., Missouri; father was Reuben Skinner Sr. Rebecca Rush b. 24-Feb-1776. Children: Mary, Thomas, Aaron, Margaret, Joel, Jehu, Ephriam, Zebal, & Sarah.

Holt County Sentinel, (Oregon, Missouri) 24 Nov 1876: (also published 1 Dec 1876). Rachel Skinner, died 14 Nov 1876, age 95 yr, 8 mo, 17 days. (reprinted from an Atchison county paper) [need to recheck]. [She was living with her youngest daughter, Lydia Matilda (Rush) Rundle.].

On the 1850 census Richard Skinner was with his son Ephraim in District 59, Monroe Co., Missouri. - - - - - - - - - -. On the 1850 census Rachel (Skinner) (Rush) Skinner, estranged second wife of Richard Skinner, was living with her son Samuel Rush in Straitsville, Perry Co., Ohio.

On the 1870 census Rachel (as "Rush Rush") was with her daughter Lydia M. (Rush) Rundle in Templeton Twp., Atchison Co., Missouri.
