Frederic Hamilton Carrington was born in Exeter, Devon on 21 Feb 1780 and baptised in St Kerrian, Exeter, Devon on 30 Mar 1780. From 17 Aug 1789 to 12 Jun 1797 he attended Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon http://www.blundells.org.

In 1800 he was a Curate? in Topsham, Devon. 1802 he got a BA at Wadham College, Oxford http://www.wadham.ox.ac.uk. 1810 he married Mary Reilly in Dublin, Ireland. 1813 he went to Newfoundland as a Missionary with The Society for the Propogation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts. http:/www.mundus.ac.uk/cats/111052.htm He was Rector of St Pauls, Harbour Grace. The same year he founded a boys school based on the Eton curriculum. Appointed chief magistrate. 1816 St Paul's was burnt down and he offered £250 reward for the name of the arsonist. 1818 he was Rector of the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, St John's, Newfoundland and also Chaplain to the Garrison of St John's Newfoundland. 1839 he died at St John's and was buried with full military honours in the graveyard and a plaque in his memory is on the main pillars inside. 1

"The last Will and Testament of me Robert Skinner of 206 Grange Rd Plaistow That I the said Robert Skinner to give and bequeath to my son George Skinner of 48 Edwin St Gravesend my leashold house 38 Lansdowne Road East Ham Essex I appoint George Skinner sole Executor I revoke all other wills and declare this my last will and testament Dated this 8th day of June 1911 - Signed Robert Skinner in the presence of the undersigned witnesses - Wittnesses )- Joseph Goodwin 1 St Andrews Road Gravesend - Emma Sarah Goodwin 1 St Andrews Road Gravesend. 1

Affidavit of due execution filed on the 25th day of November 1913 Probate of this will was granted to George Skinner the sole executor". 1

Who was Joseph and Emma Sarah Goodwin? Thought Emma Sarah may have been Emma Sarah Skinner b1850 but 1901 census shows Emma Sarah was born in Gravesend and in 1859. 1

of the said deceased was proved and registered in the Principle Probate Registry of His Majesty's High Court of Justice, and that administration of all tthe estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to George Skinner of 34 Lansdown Road Forest Gate in the County of Essex Bootmaker son the sole Executor named in the said will.
