He came to the colonies between 1649 and 1652. He married twice and by his first wife had two sons, both born in Chichester, England: Thomas born 1645, and Abraham born 1649. He was admitted freeman in Malden May 18, 1653 and was there licensed to keep an ‘Ordinary’ or Inn.
