Warren Skinner was born June 2, 1791, in Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Timothy Skinner and Ruth Warner.
When he was three, his family moved to Westmoreland, New Hampshire.
On March 5, 1815, he married Nancy Farnsworth. Together they had Eliza Ann Skinner, Harriet Maria Skinner, George Warren Skinner, Mary Jane Skinner, Charles Augustus Skinner, Cynthia Ellen Skinner, and William Henry Skinner.
On November 24, 1831, he married Lucretia Slapp Reddington. Together they had Nancy Lucretia Skinner, Martha Angela Skinner, Eugene Franklin Skinner
He died October 6, 1874, in Cavendish, Windsor County, Vermont. He is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Proctorsville, Windsor County, Vermont.
