Biography
Birth and Parentage
Bridget was born c. 1532 at South Ormsby, Lincolnshire, England. She was the daughter and first child of Sir William Skipwith and his second wife, Alice Dymoke.[1] Birth date is a guess, based on the birth date of Brian Cave's second son born c. 1552.[2]The Birth Date is a rough estimate. Marriage
Bridget married, as his 2nd, to Brian Cave, son of Richard Cave and Margaret Saxby.[1] Brian's first wife was Margaret Throckmorton, and he brought step-children into the marriage, including Henry Cave who married Elizabeth Isham.[1] Bridget and Brian Cave had no children between them.[1]
Bridget served Elizabeth I (Tudor) of England as her Maid of Honour and Gentlewoman.[1]
Death
Bridget died 26 January 1587/8, possibly at at Ingarsbie, co. Leicester, England.[2] The will of Brian Cave began, "Bryan Cave of Ingarsbie, co. Leicester Esq. of reasonable good helthe."[2]
