Biography
Margaret Hay Harcourt Slade was born in Putney, Surrey in 1881. She was the daughter of Harcourt Slade and Isabella Duncan. Her birth was registered in Wandsworth, Surrey in the third quarter of 1881[1].
At the time of the 1921 Canada Census, James Harcourt, Lilian Ethel Beauchamp, Margaret Hay Harcourt, John Duncan Harcourt, Joyce Winifred Harcourt, and Lilian Nancy Harcourt Slade were listed as living in Shawnigan, British Columbia, along with James' sisters Helen Katharine Harcourt Slade and Margaret Hay Harcourt (mistranscribed as "Margareta Hay Harconet") Slade[2].
Margaret's death was registered in Amersham, Buckinghamshire in the first quarter of 1936[3].
