Biography
Margaret Beauchamp Harcourt was born in Shipley, Derbyshire. She was the daughter of James Slade and Lilian Schroder. Her birth was registered in Basford in the first quarter of 1909[1].
At the time of the 1921 Canada Census, James Harcourt, Lilian Ethel Beauchamp, Margaret Beauchamp Harcourt (mistranscribed as "Morgan Handenp Harconet"), John Duncan Harcourt, Joyce Winifred Harcourt, and Lilian Nancy Harcourt Slade were listed as living in Shawnigan, British Columbia, along with James' sisters Helen Katharine Harcourt Slade and Margaret Hay Harcourt Slade[2].
Margaret married Charles E W Johnson. Their marriage was registered in St Columb, Cornwall in the second quarter of 1935[3].
