Frances Slade was born in Wellington, Somerset on 9 August 1821[1]. She was the daughter of John Slade and his wife Mary.
At the time of the 1841 England and Wales Census, John, Mary, Frances, John, Martha, Joseph, Ann, and Maria Slade were listed as living in Wellington, Somerset[2].
At the time of the 1851 England and Wales Census, John, Mary, and F Slade were listed as living in Wellington[3]. At the time of the census, Frances' occupation was listed as "Dress Maker".
