Emma Elizabeth Slade was born in Gillingham, Kent in 1831, and christened in St Mary Magdalene on 7 July 1831[1]. She was the daughter of Charles Slade and Albina Peirce.
At the time of the 1861 England and Wales Census, Chas., J.G., G. A., E. E., and R. E. Slade were listed as living in Gillingham, Kent, along with a visitor named E. S. P. (probably Charles' sister-in-law, Elizabeth S Peirce), and a servant[2].
At the time of the 1871 England and Wales Census, Charles, Georgiana A, Emma E, and Rosa S E Slade were listed as living in Gravesend, Kent, along with Charles' sister-in-law Elizabeth I Peirce, and a servant[3].
Emma's death was registered in Dartford, Kent in the fourth quarter of 1904[4].
