Marcus Warre Slade was born in Langford Budville, Somerset on 10 September 1865. He was the son of George Slade and Eleanor Warre. His birth was registered in Wellington, Somerset in the fourth quarter of 1865[1].
Marcus married Josephine Young in Englefield, Berkshire on 8 August 1901. Their marriage was registered in Bradfield in the third quarter of 1901[2].
Marcus died on 27 November 1941. His death was registered in Oxford in the fourth quarter of 1941[3].

218,529. Slade, M. W. Sept. 18, 1923. Hatching-appliances.-An incubator heated by air-circulation is divided into an egg-chamber a and a hot air chamber b connected by passages c, d and enclosing two sections f, f<1> of the hotwater tank that are connected at each side by a passage h, h<1>. The vertical portion f<1> of the tank is connected by flow and return pipes g, g<1> to a boiler and is divided by a space j, the cooler section f<2> being arranged in an open flue k. Perforated baffles i, i' equalize the flow of water in the tank f. The chamber b and the part of the chamber a above a partition a<1> are surrounded by non-conducting material in in the space m. Below the egg-drawer and partition a<1>, which is perforated and formed of material of low conductivity, is a cool chamber a<2>. Known means for the admission and escape of air may be provided.; A thermostat o controls a valve p in the hot water supply pipe.
