1882-4 Martha is born in Illinois. On the record of her marriage to Ezra Story, her birth year is given as 1882, and her father's name is given as John Slagley.[1] The 1910 Census gives her estimated birth date as 1884.[2]
1900 Martha married Ezra Story on 29 July in Marion County, Illinois.[1]
1910 Martha and Ezra are living in Bond Township, Lawrence County, Illinois.They have two daughters: Cordia (9) and Marie (4)[2]
1914 Martha married Samuel R. Brown on 7 Nov in Marion County, Illinois.[3]
1920 Martha and Samuel are living in Salem, Marion County, Illinois. Three of Samuel's children from his first marriage are living with them -- Ralph, Ruby and Hershel -- and Martha's two daughters from her marriage to Ezra Story are also living in the household -- Cordia and Marie.[4]
