Biography
James Sloan was born on February 19, 1769 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia.[1] He was the son of David Sloan and Martha Watson.
He married Jane Jean Thompson on April 18, 1792 in Tazewell, Co., Virginia.
He was farming at age 81, in Wayne Co., District 2, Virginia in 1850, with a Francis Sloan-62, in the home.[2]
He passed away on January 15, 1853, at the age of 83, in Wayne Co., Kentucky, and was buried in the Sloan Cemetery.[1]
