Obituary

Marvin Sloan

Woodruff--Funeral services for Pvt. Marvin E. Sloan will be held Sunday at 3 pm.m. at Selma Baptist Church.

The Revs. J. P. Stepp, J. I. Easler and M. E. Derrick will officiate. Burial will be in the Selma cemetery.

Military honors will be conducted by the National Guard.

Pvt. Sloan entered the Army May 28, 1944, and was sent overseas Nov. 7, 1944. He was killed in action near Luxembourg Dec. 11, 1944, whil with the 122d Infantry.

After 4 p.m., Saturday the body will be at the home of the parents until time to be moved to the church Sunday.

Woodruff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
