8 Mar 1803. Will of William Stevenson; "I do leave and bequeath unto William Stevenson Sloan one hundred dollars out of my estate, together will my full margin Bible to be given to him also."

1837: Probate Records

A. Bill submitted by Dr. James Relfe to estate for medical care for black girl between 13th July and 5th November 1837.

B. Inventory of slaves belonging to the estate of Wm S. Sloan, deceased, dated Nov. 29, 1838:

C. Inventory of property, May 16, 1837: Information regarding slaves.

D. Inventory of property, June 1837: Information regarding slaves.

E. Partition of slaves, Feb. 1844: Mrs. Sarah Sloan, James Sloan, Chasteen Hicks who intermarried with Mary Sloan, Eliza Jane, Caroline & William Sloan take equal shares.

F. To Chastine Hicks and Mary his wife, James Sloan and E.P. Ruggles, guardian of Caroline and William Sloan infant heirs of Wm. S. Sloan, deceased, and Sarah Sloan, widow of said Wm Sloan. You are hereby notified that at the next term of the county Court to be held at the Court house in Town of Potosi on the first Monday of November next and the first Day of said term or as soon thereafter as cousel can be heard I shall make application for the distribution of the slaves belonging to the estate of the said William Sloan. G. Report of ?, partition of Slaves, Submitted 6th October 1851, Approved Aug. 7, 1852: We the undersigned, Henry Eidson, Jonas Henderson and Archibald Robinson, having been appointed by the court at the August term of said court in 1851 to make partition of three slaves.
