Biography

Birth and Baptism

Frederick Percival Sloan was born in Brighton, Sussex in 1871^[1]and baptised 4 June 1871 in St Peter's Church, Brighton. His parents were James (a draper) and Jane Alderton Sloan of Queen's Road^[2]

Early Years

In 1881 Frederick P Sloan was living with his parents, three sisters and an aunt on North Road, Brighton^[3] In 1891 Frederick was living with his parents, siblings and aunt and working as a draper's assistant (his father was a Draper and Clothier)^[4]

Marriage

Frederick Percy Sloan married Ellen Eliza Wingfield in Brighton in 1892^[5]

In 1901 Percy, now working as a mineral water vanman, and Ellen were living in Preston with their four children^[6] In 1911 Percy, Ellen and the four children were living in Shoreham. Percy was working as a road man for West Sussex District Council^[7]

Death

Frederick P Sloan died aged 46 in 1917^[8]
