David Slone was a weaver. History has tried to name him Stone (by crossing the l) and they tried to name his sons Sloan ... but they marched on the Lexington Alarm of 1775 as Slone. His Grandson Timothy (David1, John2, Timothy3 signed the petition to split Randolph of from Braintree as Slone and still books try to name him Sloan. The name is Slone, the practiced religion was Protestant and the old country is probably Northern Ireland or Scotland ( Scots-Irish ). Dean Slone
