Biography
Anna Small was born on 12 August 1744 in Scarborough, Maine. Her parents were Joshua Small and Susannah (Kennard) Small[1].
She married Dominicus Mitchell on 1 August 1765. They settled in Standish, Maine (then called Pearsontown) and had eleven children[2]:
- 1. Elizabeth, born 15 May 1766; married Wingate Frost
- 2. Daniel, born 23 Jun 1768; married Anna Small
- 3. Mary, born 19 Aug 1770; married 1st Abraham Parker, 2nd Thomas Harmon
- 4. Dominicus, born 23 Aug 1772; married Apphia Whitney
- 5. Joshua, born 17 Oct 1774; married 1st Hannah Myrick, 2nd Sarah Hamilton
- 6. Robert, born 22 Jul 1776; married Lydia Berry
- 7. Isaac, born 18 Jan 1779; died young
- 8. Isaac, born 31 Jan 1780; married Martha Libby
- 9. Anna, born 21 Mar 1782; married Wingate Frost (2nd wife)
- 10. Samuel, born 6 Feb 1784; married 1st Margaret Berry, 2nd Miriam Phinney
- 11. Sarah, born 6 May 1786; married Joseph Davis
Anna passed away on 20 July 1814[3].
