Biography

Christened on 20 Jan 1833, Ryton on Dunsmore, Warwickshire, England.^[1][2] She was the daughter of William Small and Elizabeth (Gillman).^[2] At the time of Ann's christening, William and Elizabeth lived in Ryton where he was a laborer.^[2] Ann married John Dodson on December 25, 1852 in St. Paul's, Warwickshire. ^[3]

Notes

Ann's death registration gives her birth date as 1825.^[4] This is also the birth date given for her in the 1901 census where she is a visitor at her son Charles' house.^[5]
