William Small was born about 1806 in Warwickshire, England.[1] He married Elizabeth Gillman on October 18, 1832 in Ryton-On-Dunsmore, Warwickshire.[2] William and Elizabeth moved to West Bromwich (Staffordshire) before the 1871 census[3] where he is found as a laborer. After Elizabeth died in 1872, William stayed on in West Bromwich where he was enumerated as a pauper and an agricultural laborer.[4] William died on August 9, 1885 in Oldbury, West Bromwich (Staffordshire).[5]
