OBITUARY
Robert B. Small, age 91, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at his son's residence in Stoughton. He was born on July 27, 1913, in Woodland Township, Sauk County, to Lester and Elsie (Burdick) Small. He married Gertrude Bukatz on June 24, 1939, and she preceded him in death on July 8, 1989. He was a member of the Local 159 for 45 years. Robert retired in 1979 to Ocala, Fla., where he lived until coming back to Wisconsin in 2001. He lived with his son, Dwight, and his wife, Cindy, for the past four years. He was best known for his wonderful sense of humor right to the end. He loved to fish, garden and travel. Survivors include four sons, Donald (Delores) Small of Lodi, Ronald (Betty) Small of Waunakee, Lester (Karen) Small of St. Croix Falls, and Dwight (Cindy) Small of Stoughton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Victor; and a sister, Verona. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at the PICHA FUNERAL HOME, Elroy, with the Rev. Conrad Prell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fowler Prairie Cemetery, rural Elroy. Friends may call at the PICHA FUNERAL HOME, Elroy, on Saturday from noon until 1:30 p.m.[5]
