Biography
Annie Chapman, a victim of Jack the Ripper, was found in the back yard of the house where Amelia, Thomas, and their son[1] John lived. John had been in the back yard about an hour before the body was found, and about half an hour before the likely time of the murder.
Sources
↑ In the 1881 census he is five years old, which means Thomas and Amelia would each have been over 55 at the time of his birth. It seems more probable that he was a grandson.
