Rachel was born in 1723 christened in Quedgeley on the 16 Feb 1723. Her parents were Johis (Johannas?) and Elizabetha (Elizabeth?) Smith. Rachael married John Tipping on 5 Apr 1752 in Quedgeley Rachel died in 1800 at the age of 77 a widow her husband John had died 4 years previously. She had 3 known children with John. These were John b 1757, Richard b 1758 and William b 1760 all born in Quedgeley.
