2. Issac Smith came to Daviess County Tennessee in 1837 and entered land from the Government 23 Nov 1838. This farm was what is known as Merritt Land in the Splawn Ridge Area.Issac and Katherine [Catherine] became members of the early Grand River Baptist Church in May 1837.
