Biography

Samuel Smith, the son of Samuel Smith and Obedience Lamberton was born 14 May 1678, baptized 9 May 1686, and died 22 August 1753 at the age of 77. On 14 August 1700 he married Mary Cooper, the daughter of John Cooper and Mary Thompson.

Samuel Smith & Mary Cooper were married 14 August 1700 by Mr. Jerimiah Osborn, Justice.[1]

The couple had 9 children: Lamberton, Obedience, Mary (Smith) Painter, Amy, Margaret (Smith) Smith, Desire (Smith) Stevens, Thankful (Smith) Tolles, Obedience (Smith) Chatfield, and Amy (Smith) Lewis.[2]
