John Oldham was born February 09, 1621/22 in All Saint's Parish, Derby, England. He was the son of Thomas Oldham and Elizabeth Rhodes.[3]

His father, Thomas Oldham, was born 1590 in Derby, Derbyshire, England, the son of William Oldham and Phillippa Sowter. His father married Elizabeth Rhodes January 26, 1613/14 in All Saint's Parish, Derby, England. She was born in 1595 and died September 04, 1642 in All Saint's Parish, Derby, England. [3]
