Elizabeth Marshall was b. 01 March 1725 in Washington Parish, Westmoreland County, VA. It is unlikely that she had a child born one year later. She did not marry until 1741,and her children were all given family names: Lewis for her maternal grandfather Lewis Markham, Augustine for her brother-in-law, John for her husband and her father. Please see Elizabeth "Lizzie" Marshall in the website "Early Colonial Settlers of Southern Maryland and Virginia's Northern Neck. Data supplied in voluminous.

I can't help but think these two Smiths, Charles & Susannah (Smith) Hite were not kin before marriage to Hite siblings, and they are both connected to incorrect parents in the wrong location of Westmoreland Co., who just happened to be brothers...Seems too coincidental.
