Biography of Nelle Edith Smith Lindsay
Nelle Edith Smith was born on August 22, 1896 in Purcell, Bedford, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Danford Smith and Mary Frances Miller. [1] She married John Howard Lindsay in July 1920. [2] John was born on 31 October 1896 in Scotland. [3] They had the following children:

- Madeline June Lindsay (1924- ) [5]
- James Edward Lindsay (1926-1990) [6]
- Howard Vernon Lindsay (1928-1978) [7]
Nelle passed away on 10 Jul 1980 in Delmont, Pennsylvania, at age 83. [8] She is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Export, Westmoreland, PA. [9]
