Biography

John Smith, the son of David Smith and Abigail Lewis, was born December 18, 1789. [1]

John married Altimira Peck November 25, 1812. The couple had 8 children: Sarah, Anna Eliza, Mary A. (Smith) Gray, Alvin L., Willis W., Emily Eleanor (Smith) Bump, Alice Augustus (Smith) Ballard, and Jessie P. Smith.

(1850 Census, Delmar Twp,Tioga,PA,USA h/h 256): Smith, John age 61 baptised CT, wife Smith, Altimira age 60 baptised CT. [son-in-law David Lewis Smith and daughter Mary were enumerated in the next household.]
