Biography

Louise Cornelius was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 804 Delaware Street, Mobile Ward 9, Mobile County, Alabama for the January 2, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1898 in Alabama and married as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Vernon B Cornelius, son Marvin Cornelius and son Vernon Cornelius Jr.^[1]

Louise Smith was listed as the mother of Francis Cornelius who died August 5, 1924 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. The father was listed as Vernon B. Cornelius.^[2]

Louise Smith was listed as the mother of Vernon Bovard Jr. Cornelius who died August 24, 1924, in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. The father was listed as Vernon B. Sr. Cornelius.^[3]

Cause of Death: probably from complications of Scleroderma. Evelyn Marree Treadway nee Kossow described her mother's condition as the hardening of the skin and internal organs. These conditions appeared within a few years of the birth of her youngest child.
