Biography

Viola Roxie Jane “Jennie” Smith b. 19 May 1873 d. 25 March 1954, daughter of Matthew Castle Pinckney Smith and Susan Smith. Mathew came to Texas from Georgia and Susan Smith was from SC. m. Rev. William Hallmark “Billy” Satterwhite b. 15 Jan 1871.

The photo was made in 1902, the baby in Jennie's arms is Calvert Satterwhite, he died in August of 1902. My father, Frank Pinckney Satterwhite b. 5 Feb 1895, is on the left side of the photo and is about age six.
