Shubael was born in March of 1653 at Sandwich in the Plymouth Colony.[1] He was the son of John and Susanna (Hinckley) Smith.[2]his [John Smith's] son Shobal born in March [13] 1653. [3]
"Shubaell Smith and Mara Swift were married the sixt day of February 1677."
[4][5] They had three children together before she died in 1682/3[4]
Shubael married second, Abigail Skiff[6] and they had five children together.
After Abigail died, Shubael married a third time in 1725 to Ann Samson.[7] They were living in Chilmark when he died at age 80.[8]

Shubael Smith (b. 13 March 1653/54, Barnstable, Massachusetts; d. 05 April 1733, Chillmark, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts); married (1st) 06 February 1677/78, to Mary Swift, and they had 3 children; married (2nd) 03 December 1684, to Abigail Skiff, and they had about 6 children; married (3rd) 12 October 1725, to Anne Simpson.
