Would someone PPP this John Smith. I have 2 proposed merges as of now. But there are several John Smith's in this time frame, maybe we can keep this one straightened out.

I adopted and sourced https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-29731 so he is ready for merging. I didn't find any child named Benjamin that is attached here.

Also, see note - supposedly his will says he left a wife named Esther. I haven't found the will anywhere.

Smith-29731 and Smith-14976 are not ready to be merged because: These need a lot more, ie identifying which children fit, which John Smith, correct dates, locations etc.

Merge RE: G2G Note

This profile should probably have 'Rock' removed as John Rock Smith is https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-1811 who died in Hempstead.

And this profile should have dod should be changed as the current dod is of a different John Smith, living in MA.

Corrections should be made prior to merging.

Smith-29731 and Smith-14976 appear to represent the same person because: G2G reply 16 Sep 2018 as to who this man -14976 was: "There were supposedly 3 early John Smiths of Hempstead with nicknames given to distinguish them: John Rock, John Blue and John Nan. See:GMNL: V12: p. 31 The profile you point out John Smith b. c 1621 and husband of Mary Bill is partially addressed in GM: VI: 353. Parents Francis Smith and Alice ___. Says John's 1st wife was Catherine Morrill. This John died aged 85 in September 1706 (not 1678=?John of Dorchester). So it looks like this profile has some major corrections needed."

Smith-32539 and Smith-14976 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same persons, see my rsch note on Smith-14976, the submitter has made and error on his birth date but rest rather appears ok.

I accessed an active tree on ancestry to come to see he was b 1621 not 1651...
