He married Ruth Anne Sly in 1903 in Boulder City, Western Austalia.

Life Events

In 1903 he was living at Salisbury Rd Kalgoorlie with his wife but her name is recorded as Ruth Hannah. He was described as a labourer.

In 1905 they were living at 130 Richardson St Boulder.

In 1912 he was still living in Boulder.

In 1917 he was living in Maylands when his brother in law was killed.

In 1921 he was living in Maylands and was part of the Jubilee singers performing with his son George as a soloist.

In 1925 he was living at 26 7th Avenue Maylands.

On 8 July 1928 he involved in a motor car accident with his wife and 4 month old baby at the corner of Guildford Rd and 7th Avenue Maylands. The baby was scalded by water from the radiator. The mother fractured her right thigh and suffered abrasions. Ruth and Sylvia were hurled from the car. Ref The West Australian 9th July 1928.

In 1953 he was living at 24, Seventh Avenue Maylands.

Death

DEATH NOTICE. SMITH: On November 4. at Mt. Lawley, Albert George, of 24 Seventh Avenue, Maylands, late of Hoskins Foundry, dearly beloved husband of Ruth, loving father of Roy, Elsie (Mrs. M. Wyss), George, Lorna (Mrs. H. Morton) and Sylvie (Mrs. J. Candler), fond father-in-law of Linda, Martin, Dolly, Harry and Jack, dear Pop of 18 grandchildren, great-grandpop of 6. Aged 74 years

Buried Karrakatta Cemetery Church of Christ EA 0089.

Occupation: Iron Dresser.
