Smith-29585 and Smith-6522 appear to represent the same person because: I think Smith-29585 is the same person and Smith-6522, but given the incorrect parents.

  • A mother's death date (Smith-6522 died 1725) should not be before one of her children's birth dates (Porteus-7 born 1728).

I've done some more research on Robert Porteus's second wife... The Wikipedia article on Beilby (citing Dictionary of National Biography) says they had 19 children. Beilby was the 18th. (See Jennings-1605#Children.)

Sources on Elizabeth Jennings' profile also say that Robert moved back to England in 1720, so if Elizabeth Porteus-7 is indeed the daughter of Robert, and her 1728 birth year is correct, then she was the daughter of Elizabeth Jennings, not Margaret Smith.

(The 1693/4 will of Edward Porteus discussed in the Jennings-1605 profile was witnessed by John Smith.)

Text for her husband's profile says she died before 1712, when he married Elizabeth Jennings. Is the text wrong there or is 1725 wrong here?
