ARLINGTON, TX -- Ronald M. (Ron) Smith Sr., age 80, passed away peacefully at home in Arlington, TX on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 with his loving wife of 58 years, Paula Smith (Flores) by his side.

Mr. Smith is survived by his three children, Ron Smith Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and his fiancé Laura Provenzano, Bob Smith of Grand Prairie, TX and his fiancé Suzette Audia, and Ross Smith of Richmond, RI and his wife, Mary-Beth. Grandchildren, Matthew Smith, his wife Elizabeth and Michael Smith, their mother, Cathi Smith (Ryan) of Las Vegas, NV, Casey Smith of Mansfield, TX, Robin Baker (Smith) and her husband Joe, of Ft Worth, TX, their mother, Sharon Smith (Harper) deceased and Zachary and Jacob Smith of Richmond, RI.

In addition, Mr. Smith is also survived by his brother Murray Smith Jr. and his wife Mary Jane of Sarasota, FL, his sister, Jean Papia (Membrino/Smith) and her husband Vin of Leominster, MA, and his brother Carl Smith and his wife Ann of Lunenburg, MA, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was born in Lunenburg, MA, the son of Murray and Ardina (Nicolas) Smith, and was a graduate of the Lunenburg HS Class of 1951. Mr. Smith was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War serving with distinction for four years. After the Korean War, Mr. & Mrs. Smith settled in the San Fernando Valley of Southern CA. In 1968 they moved back to central MA to raise their family. After successful careers at Sears & Roebuck in Leominster, MA and John Hancock, Mr. Smith enjoyed great success in the Insurance and Home Improvement Industries in GA and NV finally retiring to TX in 1997. -
