Hi Anonymous,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

It appears I was unable to delete the image. I did delete the comment. I posted that image on 3/7/2018, which is the same day I emailed the person who uploaded it to ancestry to see if they could assist with my John L. Smith brick wall. Once again, I am sorry, and will be more careful in the future.

I am very sorry. When I uploaded that I didn't see yours. I found it on Ancestry and credited the person who originally uploaded it there. I did not edit your version. I think it has been taken care of. I was only trying to help sort out the Phoebe Greens.

I uploaded the original primary photo showing the descendants of Thomas Smith. It was edited by someone else, Wendy Fromm, and this was without my permission. The photo is my original and should not be edited. Please remove edits. L. Smith

Hello Linda,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Hi Linda, Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the Help section or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, Patt

This is a fabulous creation for helping to consolidate all the increasing information that we gather as we do our research. Finding a place where we can place and organize in one spot is invaluable. I heard about this place from FTDNA at the Northeastern Group Project which I had joined after getting the DNA testing at their site.
