Listed as a car builder for Harlan and Hollingsworth in 1896, living at 226 Woodlawn in Wilmington Delaware. Thomas B. Smith, his brother, had purchased the home on Woodlawn in 1894. On March 15, 1907, Eliza A Smith, widow of Thomas B Smith, sold this home to Charles Burnite.
