Biography

Patience Smith was born on 23 February 1717, in Weston, Massachusetts, her father, Elisha, was 25, & her mother, Patience, was 19.[1]

Patience married Abraham Sanderson on 6 December 1733 in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2]

They had 12 children in 23 years.

She died on October 13, 1792, in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 75 years, & was buried there. Patience was mentioned on a memorial in North Cemetery, Lunenburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States with a death date of 13 Oct 1792.[3]

Patience, a widow, wrote her will on 24 May 1792. Her estate passed probate on 10 November 1792.[4] Beneficiaries listed:

Elisha Smith's second child, Patience, born February 23, 1717, married December 6, 1733, Abraham Sanderson, who was born in Watertown, March 28, 1711, and they also settled in Lunenberg, on seventy acres of land given them by her father, on the northern border of the town, adjoining Townsend, where Abraham and Patience had thirteen children...
