Biography
Grace Maud Smith was born 24 August 1873 at Iuka, Marion County, Illinois to her parents John Richard Smith and Eugenia Campbell Craig. She married Jesse Simon Peter, son of Simon Jesse Peter and Mary Anne Graham on 7 September 1897 at Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas, and they had the following children: **Maurine Peter (b. 07 March 1899 / d. 12 June 1995), Kenneth Craig Peter, and Maurice Lyle Peter. She died on 11 May 1961 at Oklahoma City, Canadian County, Oklahoma. She is buried at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.[1]
