J, I appreciate your comment on the photo(s) I've shared. I have been very fortunate to obtain many wonderful photos of my family members. I love to look at the photos and wonder about them and their lives. I have a lot of wonderful photo that have no name so they just sit there with out anyone being able to see them. Just think how many others have no name photos that we miss out on seeing.

Hello J

Thank you for joining WikiTree. I'm a WikiTree Mentor available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may have.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me via my profile page.

Maryann ~ WikiTree Mentor

Welcome! We are so glad you are here! We have a Smith One-Name-Study to assist you with your general research and genetic genealogy: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Smith_Name_Study

Please check our list of Earliest Known Smith Ancestors to see if your EKA already has a profile on WikiTree. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:SmithConnection.com_DNA_Project

Please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include Smith and any other tag terms that you wish to follow on the GenealogistToGenealogist (G2G) feed: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Hi J Smith,

Good to hear you decided to become a full WikiTree member, I have found WikiTree to be an excellent research and collaboration tool..

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree. Once you entered your family members it is exciting to see other people finding your family profiles, asking questions, and expanding it.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum, you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Great to have you on board, good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree.

Hi J. Smith,

I am glad to hear you are interested in learning more about your family history. You may wish to add your own research and/or family tree in to WikiTree one day. You are more than welcome to use WikiTree for your research and/or ask questions, it is free, and you don’t have to become a volunteer.

If you want to contribute as well, please leave us another message and we can then make you a full member. As indicated above, if you just want to use our forums and search around then you can do that as a guest.

One of our volunteers will be happy to make you a full member if you post again.

Thanks for using WikiTree to grow your family tree.

Hi, I don't wish to be too professional here, I was only trying to help fill out missing details for my grandmothers tree. Thank you.

Hi J Smith,

A warm welcome to WikiTree as a guest! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, working towards ONE collaborative profile for every person.

Here are some suggestions to get you started:

1. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum.

2. Our Help pages have all sorts of useful information.

3. Our Honor Code is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take some time to read it.

4. Explore the Family Tree & Tools tab at the top of your profile.

If you like to grow your own family tree and agree with our Mission & 9 Simple Rules, click the Volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile on how you can contribute.

More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.
