Juliet Mae (Smith) Connole passed away on Christmas Day, 2013 after a long illness. The love and joy she shared with all who knew her far outweighs the loss felt by her passing. "Judy" was a lifelong Kansas City area resident, a member of St Catherine?s Catholic Church for over 50 years, and retired from the Internal Revenue Service with over 30 years of service as the Lead Technician for Large Corporations.
Judy was born to the late Dennis G. Smith Sr. and Juliette B. Connelly. She was the oldest of 9 siblings and attended Catholic school graduating from Redemptorist High School as class salutorian. Judy married James J. Connole of Kansas City on December 27, 1951. Married for 62 years, their relationship epitomized uncompromising love and devotion that stands as an example to all who know them.
Judy is also survived by her children: Jim Connole and family of Lawrenceville, GA, Mike Connole and family of Argyle, TX, Tina Glavin and family of Overland Park, KS, Julie Freeman and family of Kansas City, MO, Timothy Connole and family of Barrigada, Guam, Pat Connole and family of Seneca, MO, Beth Patterson and family of Pittsburg, KS, and Helen Sorheim and family of Kewaskum, WS. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Surviving siblings are Mary K. Howe of Jacksonville, FL, Donna Konrad of Tequesta, FL, Eleanor Reidlinger of Kansas City, MO, Shelia England of Lees Summit, MO, Stephen Smith of Kansas City, MO, and Regina Culver of Lees Summit.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dennis G. Smith Jr of Dallas, TX and Patrick J. Smith Sr. of Kansas City, MO.
