Biography

Colonel William Smith Gill (1865-1957) was the son of Alexander Ogston Gill and Barbara Smith Marr. [1]

Aged 6 in 1871 he was one of five children at home in Caroline Place with his father and aunt. Also there three servants. [2]

He married Ruth Littlejohn, daughter of David Littlejohn and Jane Crombie, in 1898. [3]

In the 1891 census William (age 26), Colour Manufacturer, was the son of Alexander S Fill in Fairfield, Aberdeen Old Machar, Aberdeenshire.[4]

William died on 25 December 1957 in Aberdeen, Scotland and his estate passed probate on 2 April 1958 in London, England.[5][6][7]
