Eaton, Ind., Feb. 6, -- The funeral of Robert Smoot, who passed away Sunday at this home in this city after a long illness, was conducted from the M.E. Church, Tuesday morning with the Rev. C. B. Dougherty in charge of the services. Burial was made in Eaton cemetery.

Robert Marshall Smoot, 79 years of age, who will be remembered by many of the older residents of this county where he resided for many years, died at his home in Eaton, Ind., Sunday. Deceased was the father of Mrs. T. J. Sheetz of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Sheetz have left for Eaton to attend the funeral.
