DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Israel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Israel:

From the Forward to the 2nd Edition of the Snead's of Fluvanna:

" ...it has been deemed inadvisable to reprint the 2 sections of the original edition, dealing with the Snead's and Weaver's in England, as NO DEFINITE CONNECTION between the English and the American families was established". Original data: Hatcher, William E.,. The Sneads of Fluvanna. Fork Union, Va.: Sneads of Fluvanna, 1959. I am a descendant of Captain Robert Sneed of England, Jamaica, Jamestowne, Philadelphia, Accomack and Maryland. We only know that Robert was born in England to a Thomas Sneed, an Innkeeper in London. Robert was a ship builder, carpenter, architect and surveyor. This Sneed line appears to not be connected to the Snead's of Fluvanna however, I was surprised to find I have DNA matches with many of the testers listed on this profile. This leads me to believe our ancestors are somehow genetically related. Miles.Files is my goto resource for the Eastern Shore of Va, My Robert Snead is only one of many Snead's to emigrate to America. But, because I am genetically related to the Snead's of Anson Co., NC. in some way as I have multiple genetic cousins who have Temperance Buford and Maj. Samuel Snead of Anson Co, NC .(1709-1775) in their trees. These were the Snead's of Anson County, NC. It is all very confusing, but I hope our continued research and collaboration will help us find our common Snead/Sneed ancestor. Joni Sneed (#AX751684C1)

Sneed-1146 and Snead-114 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person. The list of children attached to 1146 match those in the will transcript pasted into 114. Snead appears to be the spelling used in all existing documents. No exact birth date is known for Israel. Death date is also not exactly known, only estimated based on will and probate. There is no evidence of middle names for any of these people.

Sneed-1145 and Snead-114 do not represent the same person because: I don't see compelling evidence that these two individuals are the same person.

It appears that we have a father and son in these two profiles.

His Civil War officer and Mexican War veteran great grandson is named after the great grandmother. Henley's cabin is restored near a state park in Alabama.
