Catherine Snider, the daughter of Peter Snider and Susannah Hege, was born 14 March 1775 in Pennsylvania.
On 28 January 1800, when she was in her mid-twenties, she married Johan Christian, the son of John Conrad Mumma and Anna Barbara Ranck, and bore him eleven children, five sons and six daughters.
Catherine died on May 5, 1864, when she was eighty-nine years old and is buried in Daleville Cemetery in Botetourt County, Virginia, south of Daleville.[1]
